Seton Catholic Hosts Science Fair

Have you ever wondered what temperature is best for dissolving skittles?

Judges at the Seton Catholic Science fair found out Wednesday as 7th through 12th grade students presented their projects after months of research.

Wednesday's judges scored projects based on student's research, data, procedure and presentation.

Seton science teacher, Linda Garbade hopes students take away more from their experience than just research.

"They learn to manage their time, they also learn some public speaking and of course you know developing a really professional looking board. That's all really great skills for them to have, " said Garbade.

8th Grader Grace Fitzgerald says, "I like science fair as a whole. I like doing science and learning for it. It's interesting just to learn about certain topics."

Award winning projects will advance to the Southern Tier Scholastic Science fair on March 7th at SUNY Broome.
