What to do when disaster strikes... The Red Cross wants to make sure you're prepared.
American Red Cross Reps held a training session at the Broome County Public Library tonight... The training -- free to the public, is all part of Governor Andrew Cuomo's initiative to help people prepare, respond and recover from natural disasters.
"Two really main key things we focus on which is sheltering place and the kind of supplies and best practices in a situation like that. But, also, if you had to evacuate similarly best practices and supplies you would want to have," said Nick Ponterio, Disaster Preparedness Associate.
The Red Cross will hold another session February 19th at 6:30 inside the Broome County Library. You can also visit redcross.org/prepare for more information.
