John Mack Southern Tier Shoot Out a Success

Posted:
The 9th Annual Southern Tier Shoot Out took place at the Greater Binghamton Sports Complex. 98 teams from all over the country came to Binghamton to play in this tournament that remembers the life of John Mack, who past away after a stick check to the chest in November of 2006.

His dad Jim Mack still gets out and plays lacrosse with his buddies and at today's tournament you saw kids of all ages get involved in the event.

John would have been proud to see this display of lacrosse played this weekend.

"Johnnie was a great kid and he would be the first one to be out here to help as much as he could. We are delighted to have the community support and there are teams from all over the place here. They come from as far as St. Louis and North Carolina. It's just incredible," said his father.

"I think he would be quiet pleased by it. John was a real sensitive kid and he was a tremendous lacrosse player and it's good that they him honor," said Rob Mack.

The Shoot Out Continues Sunday from 8 am to 8 pm at the sports complex. John's Father was part of the first ever lacrosse team at Binghamton High School.
