State Grant Money Heads to 7 Counties to Protect Agriculture & Farmlands

Broome County is one of seven counties throughout the state that is receiving grant money to be used towards developing agriculture and farmland protection plans.

A total of 376 thousand dollars will be split up between 7 counties and 6 towns, with 50 thousand dollars slated for Broome County. Governor Cuomo says so far, state grants have helped fund agriculture and farmland protection plans in 82 towns and 20 counties and this will ensure the land will continue to produce great fruits and vegetables.
