SUNY Broome Holds Grant Opening of New Digital Lounge

SUNY Broome has a new hang out spot for its students to unwind and enjoy a game or two.

The school's new digital lounge and commons or the DLC features free Wifi, a pool table, air hockey, and a variety of arcade games including Ms. Pacman, Golden Tee, and Trophy Hunter.

Students who came to Friday's grand opening got free pizza, soda, and quarters for all the games.

President Kevin Drumm is excited that the students will be able to utilize the space in old science building.

"Yeah this is another opportunity for students to socialize in a less stressful environment and opportunity for them to take a break," said SUNY Broome President Kevin Drumm.

"Having a space like this is really good because students can come here relax, play games, hang out, and study with friends and other students," said Visual Communications student Frank Sassano.

The DLC will be open from 9am until 11pm on weekdays and from 9am until 1am on weekends.
