Drunk Driving Crackdown for Super Bowl Weekend

Don't make a big mistake during the big game. Police and the Broome County Stop DWI Program will team up to crack down on drunk driving this Super Bowl weekend.

Chris Marion, head of Broome County's Stop DWI Program, suggests making arrangements to get home before you head out for the game.

Marion says to avoid consuming too much alcohol too quickly.
If you're hosting a Super Bowl party Marion has tips to make sure your guests make it home safely.

"If you're hosting a party, we recommend trying to cut off your guests around the 3rd quarter like they do if you were attending the game itself. Have non-alcoholic drinks available, snacks, offer people food. Have your guests designate a driver before they arrive," said Chris Marion.

If you're on the road this weekend and see an impaired driver make sure to report them to authorities as soon as possible.
