B-Sens using 2-1 weekend to get back on track

Posted:
This late in the season, it's important to get back on the right foot. After dropping five straight, the Binghamton Senators rebounded with a much needed two wins in three games last weekend.

The b-sens beat Syracuse at home on Friday, lost to Lehigh Valley on the road Saturday, then beat Springfield on Sunday. Luke Richardson says that if you had told him going into it they'd beat the top two teams in the Northeast Division, he wouldn't have believed you. But those wins will do wonders going forward.

"The guys really played gutsy on Sunday and that shows a determination that we want to climb back into the race," Richardson said. "Just by doing that this weekend against the two teams that we won and played so well against, I think it not only solidifies everyone's thoughts around the league, but more importantly their own minds in the dressing room. It gives them a confidence to really push forward and do as well as we can the last two games here and have a four day break because we have a big push coming ahead."

The B-Sens are home Friday when they host the St. John's Ice Caps at 7:05.
