Local Play Takes a Stance Against Drones

An interesting play in the area protested a controversial subject.

The play was put on by the Unitarian Universalist Church in Binghamton.

Playwright and peace activist Jack Gilroy said he hopes the play reaches college campuses and high schools, to educate young people about both sides of the issue.

"We don't like to think we are people who kill individuals without ever bringing them to trial, without any charges, so that's basically what we're up to," said Gilroy.

The play stars four women players, who are all members of STAR, or Southern Tier Actors Read.

It was directed by Judy McMahon, also a member of STAR.
