By Fox 40 News Staff.
Police arrested Jenna Harris, 18 of Spencer after responding to reports of electric wires down in the roadway on Main St. in Westover.
Authorities responded to the incident around 3:22 am Sunday morning and discovered that a NYSEG utility pole was snapped off from a car crashing into it.
Police say, Harris was driving westbound on Main st when she drove over a curb, over a side walk and struck the utility pole. She then continued driving and stopped in the middle of Avon St.
Deputies say they arrested Harris after she displayed signs of intoxication and admitted to having alcoholic beverages.
Harris refused to take a chemical breath test. She was later released to appear in the Town of Union court at a later date.
