SUNY Broome President Comments on Obama's Community College Proposal
For those looking to further their education, today President Obama announced his proposal for two free years of community college for students.
The 60 billion dollar plan was announced in Tennessee where the president made clear that he wants community college to be as universal as high school.
Now while some are concerned with how something like this will be paid for, president of SUNY Broome, Dr. Kevin Drumm, focuses on what this proposal could do for the community and for the school.
"I think a program like this is inevitable at sometime in the not too distant future for the nation and community colleges, because there is no better response to the nations wealth gap, skills gap, or growing health care needs," said President of SUNY Broome Dr. Kevin Drumm.
President Drumm says that SUNY Broome has the capacity to harbor hundreds of more students.
