Sunday, January 4, 2015 11:33 PM EST
A Whitney Point man is facing charges after punching a sheriff's deputy.
Sunday, Broome County Sheriff's officers arrested 18-year-old Brandon Pittsley after investigating a reported disturbance at a home in Whitney Point.
According to reports, Pittsley had an outstanding warrant from the Broome County Sheriff's Office -- that's when deputy John Akshar proceeded to arrest Pittsley and was punched in the face.
The deputy faces minor injuries.
Pittsley is charged with felony attempted assault, resisting arrest, and a harassment violation.
He was arraigned in the Town of Triangle Court and remanded to the Broome County jail without bail.
