Andy Adamson
Andy was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Always an avid sports fan, Andy discovered his passion for sports broadcasting while serving as an announcer for his high school soccer team. Andy went on to study broadcast journalism at Indiana University. Before coming to the Southern Tier in December of 2007, Andy served as the Sports Director for WTIU in Bloomington, Indiana and was a sports photographer/reporter at WOOD-TV 8 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While there Andy interviewed Jeff Gordon, Steve Yzerman, and the San Diego Chicken. Andy loves talking sports anytime, anywhere and invites anyone to come up and chat about sport related questions, comments, or story ideas. Andy thinks the southern tier has a very rich sports tradition and feels “it’s a blast covering the Binghamton Mets and Senators and Binghamton University athletics are second to none.” In his free time Andy enjoys playing tennis and rooting on his favorite sports teams including the Indiana Hoosiers and Detroit Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings, and Lions.
