Cockaigne Ski Area is a family ski area located in western New York’s snow belt. Located 18 miles from Lake Erie with a base elevation 1100 feet higher than the lake, Cockaigne receives an average 275 inches of snowfall. Cockaigne combination of slopes (300 feet wide) and New England style trails (15 feet wide) combined with longest run of 3600 feet provide abundant snow time for the whole family.

Plattekill
At Plattekill Mountain, it's not just the big mountain terrain you'll find here, it's the small mountain charm and friendly, family-oriented, atmosphere that welcomes you when you arrive. Once at the mountain, skiers will find 35 trails to choose from, each one offering a unique feel and a little something different each run. The "Powder Puff" beginner trail is the most famous, a great 2-mile beginner cruiser with just the right pitch and for the experts, Plattekill's double diamonds offer 1100 feet of continuous vertical with pure steeps from top to bottom and some of the steepest terrain in the region.

Shawnee Mountain
Shawnee Mountain is a family oriented ski resort in Eastern Pennsylvania located right outside East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, I-80, exit 309, next to the Delaware River in the easternmost part of The Poconos. Shawnee Mountain has a summit elevation of 1,350 feet (410 m) and vertical elevation change of 700 ft (210 m) There are 125 acres (0.51 km2) of skiing terrain. The mountain has a total of 23 trails, the longest of which is 5,100 feet (1,554 m), and two terrain parks. The Bushkill Park currently has many features including rails, boxes, a set of stairs, and a Tepee Wall Ride. The other park features boxes and rails.

Snö Mountain
Snö Mountain (sometimes rendered Sno Mountain), is a ski resort in northeastern Pennsylvania. Located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the resort features a wide array of slopes, including the steepest skiing slope in Pennsylvania. Snö Mountain, formerly called Montage Mountain Ski Area, was developed by Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania in the 1980s, using Federal economic development funds. Snö is now one of the largest ski areas in the Pocono region of Pennsylvania, featuring some of the steepest skiing terrain in the region. The mountain has 26 trails for skiing. Snö Mountain also has 2 terrain parks and two new halfpipes including a 22' half pipe.

Song Mountain
If you are looking for a family-oriented mountain, Song Mountain is what you have been looking for. Located in Upstate New York, Song Mountain is a great mountain to bring the family or learn how to ski, with most of its trails being for beginners and intermediate skiers.
Song Mountain has 100 skiable acres with a 700 vertical foot drop. There is no lodging located on the mountain but check out all the nearby accommodations in Tully, Cortland and Skaneateles.

Nestled in the Adirondack foothills, Titus Mountain operates a total of 10 lifts: Two 3-Passenger Chairlifts (IV & VIII), Six 2-Passenger Chairlifts & Two Handle-Tow Surface Lifts. Toggenburg Mountain Winter Sports Center is family owned and operated, located on Toggenburg Road off NY Route 80, one mile east of the the village of Fabius in Central New York state.

Toggenburg has 24 trails, including 3 terrain parks, serviced by 5 lifts.

Toggenburg's main lodge has a cafeteria and a full service restaurant offering daily dinner specials. Entertainment is provided at times on Friday and Saturday evenings.
