Wendy's Walk for Kids Record Turnout

A record number of people took countless steps to help charity this past weekend.

Nine hundred people took part in the Wendy's Walk For Kids, that's the most in the six-year history of the local event. Once all the donations are tallied the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, JCC of Binghamton, Achieve, and the Food Bank of the Southern Tier will split the proceeds.

"We don't have totals yet for our dollars but it looks like we're well on our way to being able to distribute over a quarter of a million dollars which is what our goal is for this year," said Jeff Goghlan, Wendy's Franchisee.

There is another event to benefit the Wendy's Walk for Kids coming up on Sunday, August 24th at 6 at the Little Venice restaurant where Binghamton Mets players will serve as celebrity waiters.
