One of Governor Cuomo's top aides is going to meet with federal prosecutors about the probe into Cuomo's disbanding of the Moreland Commission, the group Cuomo established to fight corruption in Albany.
Larry Schwartz, Secretary to the Governor and Cuomo's Conduit to the commission, will meet with federal prosecutors, according to the journal. A New York Times article in July reported the governorís office objected whenever the commission focused on groups with ties to
Cuomo. Cuomo has called the commission a success and last week said he would have no further comment on the issue.
NCAA penalizes Syracuse Orange for multiple violations
As a result of the lengthy NCAA investigation, the Syracuse Orange, among other penalties, have been placed on probation for five years for ignoring the "most fundamental core values of the NCAA" for academic, drug, and other violations dating back to 2001.
