Update from Jets Camp on Sunday

Sunday at Jets camp, gang green continued to show their hard work in preparation for the first preseason game on August 7th against the Colts.

Running back Chris Johnson did participate in workouts today and the All-Pro back looked very strong and quick but also showed leadership talking with some younger players.

The defense continues to impress the fans and the coaches during drills. Both defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson and second year defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson combined for 14 sacks and 18 tackles for losses. Expect big things from the D-line this upcoming season.

Rookie tight end Jace Amaro has been showing off his good hands in camp today and has been connecting with Michael Vick. The rookie did go down with what looked to be a knee injury but it was reported as tendinitis. He should okay for practice on Tuesday.

Welcome back right guard Willie Colon. Number 66 was activated off the PUP list (physically unable to perform list) today. The offensive line is looking to build on their strong relationship and the 31 year old will help that. He did a lot of personal workouts and a few team reps to get him back into football shape.

The jets have a day off tomorrow but return to action on Tuesday. And did you know what this teams favorite video game is right now? It's FIFA 14. That's a totally different kind of football.
