Ukrainian Days Begins

One of the area's most anticipated summer festivals kicked off today in Johnson City.

Saint John's 87th annual Ukrainian Days features authentic food and pastries, as well as live music, games, and dancing. Organizers say they love seeing the locals immerse themselves in the culture--but that it's about so much more than that...

Stephen Wasylko, a member of Saint John's says: "For me it's a wonderful feeling because it shows you what people with good leadership, working together can accomplish. The core we have together here is bound and determined to make this happen every year and this is the fruits of their efforts."

The Ukrainian Days will continue tomorrow beginning with a service at the church with the festival running from 11 to 6.
