Binghamton Men's Basketball excited for tough non-conference schedule

College Basketball season is about 3 months away but that doesn't stop the hoop fans from getting excited and crazy about the madness on the hardwood.

The Binghamton University men's basketball team scheduled a tough non-conference schedule with games highlighting Notre Dame, Providence, Manhattan, and Boston College. All those teams are a part of high Division 1 conferences from the Big East to the ACC.

That's the challenge coach Dempsey wants in year three. He wants the program to grow and create a name for themselves, just like the teams they will be facing this coming fall.

"We are going to play a very challenging schedule. we are going to give them opportunities to play on the big stage and play in some big games and we are going to play good institutions. I think you will see a lot of like institutions from a philosophical stand point, good academic schools, but also that combination of good academics and good sports. I think those are some ways to build some natural rivalries, said head coach Tom Dempsey."

The first game of the season for the Bearcats will be November 14th in the hall of fame tip off against Notre Dame at 9 PM
