Law Enforcement Beef Up Patrols for Holiday Weekend
7/2/2014 (Updated 10:42:49 PM)Expect to see more law enforcement this holiday weekend. The Broome County Stop DWI program said extra staff will be on the roads to keep the streets safe.
30 additional police officers from various agencies will patrol the roadways from July 3rd to the 7th.
Program director Chris Marion says police will be looking for swerving cars, open alcohol containers, the smell of alcohol and drivers who are clearly impaired.
Marion also stressed that drivers should be vigilant in reporting reckless driving.
