Eastman's dominance, team first attitude is key for Tigers

After losing a no-hitter in the final inning of U-E's Section Finals win over Horseheads on Saturday, senior pitcher Alexis Eastman was all smiles after finishing off the one-hitter win. In that game she struck out nine Blue Raiders and broke the school record for strikeouts in a single season set by former teammate Rachel Mouillesseaux. But despite clinching the record, and having to "settle" for a one-hitter, Eastman remains all about the team accomplishments and not about her individual accolades.
The Tigers continue their road to a State Title with a Thursday Regional matchup in North Rockland against Section I's John Jay.
