High School Softball Highlights and Scores from Section 4 Saturday

Class AA

Horseheads 3 Union-Endicott 0

Alexis Eastman pitches a complete game, 1 hitter, striking out 9. The Tigers score 3 runs in the first inning. U-E will play Section 1 Champion John Jay in a state regional game at 4:30 PM Thursday at North Rockland High School.

Class A

Corning 3 Maine-Endwell 12

Maine-Endwell got out to 9-0 lead, Kim Jones pitches a complete game, and the Spartans defense holds a 12-3 victory. M-E advances to the state tournament where they will face Pearl River of Section 1 on Thursday in North Rockland.

Class B

Oneonta 1 Windsor 9

Emma Benson goes 3-3 with 3 RBI at the plate and the Black Knight score 9 runs to hold off the Yellowjackets. Windsor will now meet the Section 3 champ in a state quarterfinal game --Friday at Union-Endicott.

Class D

Richfield Springs 0 Deposit 9

Kassi Cook throws a complete game shutout striking out 12 Indians and Kylie Papagelos goes 4-4 at the plate with an RBI. Deposit will face the Section 9 champ in a state quarterfinal game on Friday at 5:30 p.m. at BAGSAI

Winter Weather Advisory Issued. Binghamton University Classes Cancelled VIEW VIDEO
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Broome, Tioga, Chenango, and Otsego counties, as well as Bradford County in Pennsylvania.
