Vestal Girls Lacrosse Seniors are happy about 3rd straight Section Title and big win against Corning

The Vestal Golden Bears claimed their third straight section title after beating the Corning Hawks 10-8. The seniors were not only happy about winning another section title but they finally got over the hump and were victorious over Corning in a big game.

"We have never beaten Corning before and we have been waiting for this moment all of our lives. A lot of us have been on this team for multiple years, going after them, working our hardest. It's great to finally beat them," said Devon McKercher.

"Corning is basically a Class A school playing in Class B this year. We knew it would be tough so we just worked all year for this one game," said Head Coach David Williams.

The Golden Bears next stop is the Regionals where they will either face up with Section 10's Massena of the winner of section three on May 31st at Ithaca High School.
