Owego Walks in Support of Crime Victims

An organization in Owego was making sure victims of crime had their voices heard today.

"A New Hope Center" held a crime victims rights walk today throughout the town. Participants held signs and stopped to speak to the public about crime victim awareness. Directors say it's a big step forward for recovering victims to see the continued public support  that was shown today.

"It's been great to have folks here. We've had victims as well as allies and staff, and supporters. It's just good to have a great turnout," said Eric Yetter, President of Board of Directors for "A New Hope Center."

"A New Hope Center" is open Monday through Friday from 9 to 5. Anyone who wants to know more about the organization or may need  its services can call 687-6866.
