Owego Fire Fighter Plan to Quit This Week

Fire fighter at the Owego Fire Department are threatening a mass exodus on Tuesday.

Fire Chief Scott Gurney tells Fox 40 that a number of his fire fighters are planning to quit the force this week.

He says this follows a concern that the village's safety codes are not up to par.

In November of 2013 the fire department was cited for having 6 violations by the Public Employee Safety and Health Office.
