Vestal Middle School Donates to Police Force

Vestal police vehicles will be stocked with new blankets thanks to a donation from a Vestal Middle School class...

Students from the SPARKS program made the donated blankets themselves for the Vestal Police Department.

Officers tend to keep blankets in their cars to comfort people after accidents and other incidents that might leave them out in the cold.

"They seem to really like helping other people and I think that they were excited of the idea cause they felt bad if someone is in an accident, you know they must be sad and they thought it was a great idea to be able to comfort them." said Teacher Trish Horan.

The students made the blankets as part of their class' community service project for the year.
