Davis College Helps Students with Student Loans
4/23/2014 (Updated 7:40:03 PM)Incoming freshman at Davis College will have a lot less to worry about in terms of repaying their student loans.
The school is launching their Financial Liberty Exercised Program, or FLEX.
From now on, beginning with the freshman class, students will get financial help in repaying loans when they graduate.
"It's designed to take that fear of having too much loan debt. And so, we're going to come along side them, and depending on what their earnings are when they graduate, we're going to help pay that student loan debt back for them." said Rick Cramer, Chief of Enrollment Management
The program requires graduates to be employed for at least 30 hours a week.
They will receive assistance on a sliding scale depending on their salary.
If they make less than $20,000 a year, their loan repayments will be reimbursed 100 percent.
Reimbursements will be less for those earning more.
