March Madness is still fresh in everyone's minds, but it's still not too early for teams to begin their spring workout programs. The Binghamton University Bearcats are hitting the weight room in the morning and the court in the afternoon preparing for next season.
Head Coach Tommy Dempsey recalled one memory of the preseason in October when freshman Marlon Beck mentioned winning 20 games in 2013-14. That didn't happen as the team finished 7-23, but Dempsey says the preseason mark was made because Beck and the other freshmen "just didn't know what was ahead of them."
Now that they know what it's like to play at the Division I level, the Bearcat freshmen should have an easier time going forward.
