Ceci, Pageau, Stone return to Binghamton

With only three games left in the regular season and a playoff spot clinched on Sunday, the Binghamton Senators roster is being retooled thanks to parent club Ottawa who failed to clinch a postseason spot.  Cody Ceci, Jean-Gabriel Pageau, and Mark Stone have all been reassigned to the B-Sens.

Ceci spent 49 games in Ottawa this season registering 3 goals and 6 assists.  Pageau registered two goals in his 28 NHL games, and Stone 4 goals and 4 assists in 19 games with the big club.

While it's disappointing for any player to be sent down to the minors, they know it's for a reason and not necessarily because there's anything wrong with their games.  With the Big Sens out of the playoffs, these three can continue to play meaningful games in high pressure situations and earn a lot of experience by joining Binghamton.

Forward Mike Hoffman will not likely make a return to the Southern Tier as he would have to clear waivers, allowing any team in the league to place a claim on him.  The chance of losing Hoffman to a waiver claim is apparently too great for the Senators to gamble with.
