Scammers Pretending to be IRS
4/11/2014 (Updated 11:32:05 PM)April 15th--tax day-- is fast approaching.
Are you sure you've done your taxes correctly, and paid Uncle Sam what you owe?
Well, what if you get an e-mail, with "IRS" on it, claiming there is a problem?
What if it says to contact the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service to clear things up--and, while you're at it, provide information that can be used to access your accounts, and steal your identify?
That's right, it's a scam.
Don't fall for it. Contact the IRS, instead.
