B-Mets Welcome Back Dinner

Fans and local athletes alike gathered tonight at the double tree in binghamton for the annual "welcome back B-mets" dinner.

To kick off the start of the baseball season, fans of all ages  got a chance to meet the b-mets at an autograph reception before dinner.

Fans were also able to win b-mets memorabilia and enjoy music by the ragtime rick pedro. fans who attended say it's a treat to be able to meet the players off the field.

"I was honestly stoked when my dad told me he won the tickets. I freaked out. That's honestly all I can say," said B-Mets fan Noah Hauer.

"I like how all the players get together with all the fans, and everybody has a really good time," said B-Mets fan Matthew Oderkirk.

Those who have attended year after year say it's exciting to meet players who one day could play in the big leagues.

Proceeds from the event benefit the non-profit B-mets booster club.
