Funeral, Donation Details for Officer David Smith

Calling hours for officer David Smith will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the Chase Funeral Home at 737 Chenango Street in Port Dickinson. Parking will be at Port Dickinson Park and shuttle service will be provided.
 
The funeral will be at Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial Church on Friday at 11 am. The church is at the corner of Main and Baldwin Streets in Johnson City.

The funeral will be open to the public on a first come/first serve basis. Parking will be at the former BAE Systems building in Westover, with shuttle service available.

Burial will be at Chenango Valley Cemetery following the funeral services. The burial is restricted to family members and local law enforcement.

Police say there will be several street closures and detours throughout the village and are asking people to avoid the downtown area until mid- afternoon as they expect hundreds will be attending the funeral.

Also, an account has been set up at Horizonís Federal Credit Union at 120 main street in binghamton.Police ask you make any monetary donations to the Smith family at Horizonís.
