Funding for Binghamton University Pharmacy School

Governor Cuomo has also allotted 10 million dollars of the budget to go toward a new branch of education for Binghamton University.

Work on BU's new school of pharmacy is expected to begin soon. Officials say the 10 million dollars in the budget will go toward buying the building and space where the school will be built. Senator Tom Libous says this development will do a lot of good for the community.

"Not only will it create jobs, but it's also going to bring companies here so that they can grow and create additional jobs  and economic development," said Senator Tom Libous.

The school is expected to be built somewhere in downtown Johnson City.
