Funeral Plans Set for Officer David Smith 4/1/2014 (Updated 6:43:15 PM)
The funeral arrangements for officer David Smith are set. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sarah Jane Johnson Church in the village at 308 Main Street.
That's not far from where Smith was slain. Johnson City Police Chief Joseph Zikuski says hundreds are expected at the funeral. Street closures are expected from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.that day, and there will be limited access to UHS Medical Center during that time.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Chase Funeral Home, at 737 Chenango Street in Port Dickinson.
Burial will be at the Chenango Valley Cemetery. Attendance at the burial will be limited to family and local law enforcement.
