New Charity Store for Endwell

Endwell residents now have a new place to find unique clothing, home decor, and other one of kind items.

The Volunteers of America retail store opened this weekend in the Subway plaza in Endwell. A V.O.A store hasn't been in the area in over 100 years. The store donates 80 cents on the dollar from every purchase towards local programs and charities. Managers say it's a thrill to see people already donating so many items and filling the store.

"Amazing. Amazing. And the great part about it is in a regular retail store you get 27 things of the same item. Here, you never know what you're gonna get. So everyday  is a new shopping experience at the Volunteers of America," said Pam Picciano, manager.

The Volunteers of America accepts donations 7 days a week and is opened Monday through Saturday 9 to 7 and Sundays 11 to 5.
