SUNY Broome Showcases Liberal Arts Program

Does SUNY Broome offer programs for those seeking a liberal arts degree? Today the college answered that question with a loud 'yes'!

The school hosted its annual liberal arts meeting for  prospective students. It covered majors that are offered, transfer opportunities, financial aid, and even a tour of the campus. For the third year in a row SUNY Broome holds the highest transfer rate of any community college in New York State. Educators say events like these are great opportunities for the community to learn more about the school and its programs.

"Every college that is a hometown college, people think they know about it. But they don't really until they get to know the people. Because the buildings are important, but really when you dig down into the essence are the faculty and the staff that work here," said Francis Battisti, Executive Vice President, CAO.

SUNY Broome will hold a campus wide open house in April. Visitors will have the opportunity to preview the new dorms and meet with advisers.
