Troopers use AED to Save Man's Life
3/7/2014 (Updated 10:52:47 PM)Recently, we told you about the AED's or Automated External Defibrillator units New York State Police now carry with them.
This week, one of those units was put to life-saving use, once again, when troopers from the Binghamton barracks responded to a call on Dimmock Hill Road in the Town of Chenango.
There they found a 23-year old man who had stopped breathing.
The AED was attached, delivered one shock, and the man regained consciousness--and was sent to Wilson Hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery.
