The Vestal Golden Bears held off a late surge by Maine-Endwell to win 4-3 and claim their 3rd straight BCHSHA Title. Senior Goaltender Nick Nestlerode stopped 20 of M-E's 23 shots in the victory.
The Spartans got off to an early start on Jeremy Wilber's goal, but Troy Harding answered less than a minute later for Vestal. Then, in the second, Kyle Balmer put M-E back on top only to see Ross Boots light the lamp 30 seconds later to tie the game at two. From there, it was two straight by the Golden Bears before a Spartan goal made things interesting with about a minute to play in the third. Two face offs inside the last 10 seconds delayed the Vestal celebration a bit, but nonetheless, the Golden Bears littered the ice with gloves, sticks, and helmets in celebration of back-to-back-to-back titles.
