Spartans shoot out win forces second Finals Elimination Game

It was a defensive struggle that went down to the wire. Maine-Endwell took down top ranked Vestal 4-3 in a shootout. The game was scoreless heading into the shootout with Nick Giordano netting the game-winner. Chris McVannan had 31 saves for M-E with Nick Nestlerode registering 29 for Vestal.
By the format of the double elimination tournament, Maine-Endwell holds off elimination and forces a second Finals matchup, winner take all on March 6th at the SUNY Broome Ice Center at 6:45.
