Mayor David Postpones State of the City

We won't know what Binghamton's mayor thinks the State of the City is for at least another two months:

That's because Mayor Rich David has decided that he won't present his first State of the City address until after his first 100 days in office.

The speech is traditionally given in February, but David, who took office January 1st, feels waiting a while longer will allow him to give a more comprehensive view of how things are:

"Since there are so many things that have yet to come to fruition but will over the next several weeks and several months, I just thought it would make sense to have them incorporated into my State of the City Address," said David.

David plans on giving the speech in April. He said he will give the annual address in February beginning next year.
