U-E Students, B-Sens Jump Rope For Heart
2/24/2014 (Updated 10:57:35 PM)Over one hundred elementary school students are jumping at the chance to fight the nations number one and number four killers, heart disease and stroke.
On Monday, the students joined players from the B-Sens hockey team for the annual Jump Rope for Heart at George F. Johnson Elementary School in Endicott.
Jump Rope for Heart teaches students how physical fitness keeps your heart healthy.
Organizers say they've already raised over $7,200 in donations and expect that number to grow as students continue to hand in donations. That money will go toward heart and stroke research and community programs for youth.
