Preston also talked about the need for shared services with local municipalities.

In an effort to do so announced they will continue working towards the 50/50 sales tax revenue.

She asked local leaders to visit her open office hours Tuesday mornings to discuss consolidation. Many local officials support Preston's push for shared services. They say that working with the county has always been successful.

"All the time there's something going on with one project or another that we're working with the county executive we have great success," Town of Union Supervisor Rose Sotak said.

"I think that we have a responsibility as government officials to do everything we can to look at ways to save tax payers money, share services, reduce the size of government," Mayor Rich David said.

Mayor David says he and the county executive have discussed working with each other on multiple different things including condensing certain boards and committees.
