Pregnant Dog Inspires Local Author

A local author made her way to River Read books in Binghamton today to sign her latest book. You may have heard of it, "Elsa was born a dog, I was born a human...things have changed."

The writer Rhoda Lerman spoke about her book...  It's a true story about her dog Elsa's birth of 17 puppies at once. It's her 8th published book and second book about her dogs. She say's while she is a fiction writer, writing this really wasn't too challenging.

"I didn't have to make this up. It was right there in front so I may has well take advantage of it. So interesting to me. I used to travel all around the world. I stopped traveling when I got the dogs because they are more mysterious than anything else I know," said Rhoda Lerman, author.

Rhoda's book received New York City's Mercial Special award for Human-Animal Bond. She says she looks forward to the continued adventure her dogs will take her on.
