Jennie Finch Helps BU Celebrate Women's Achievements in Sports

Lessons on sports and life at Binghamton University Monday from Olympic champion softball pitcher Jennie Finch.
The Binghamton Bearcats Athletic Association held it's annual luncheon to celebrate women's achievements in sports. Finch won gold in 2004 and silver in 2008. The luncheon helps recognize the accomplishment's of BU's female athletes, including members of the softball team, who got a chance to meet finch and ask questions.
"You know the game doesn't know rankings, the game doesn't know the name of the jersey on the front. Just go out there, believe in yourselves, have fun and make the most of it and I just tried to share that these four years are some of the most special years of your life," said Olympic softball player Jennie Finch.
Since 2006, the Celebrating Women's Athletics luncheon has raised nearly $150,000 to support the Association's Women's Scholarship Fund.
