Syndergaard leads Mets prospects on MLB's Top 100

Major League Baseball announced it's Top 100 prospects on Thursday night.  The New York Mets had several players on the list, and many were former B-Mets.

Noah Syndergaard topped the list as the 11th best prospect and No. 3 RHP.  In 11 games with the B-Mets in 2013, Syndergaard went 6-1 with 3.00 ERA and 69 strikeouts.

Travis d'Arnaud ranked 22nd overall and was the top catcher on the list.  d'Arnaud only spent seven games with the B-Mets before a call up to Triple-A Las Vegas and eventually the New York Mets.  In those seven games he hit .304 with 2 HR, 12 RBI.  In the field, he was 50% on stolen bases, 6/12.

Early season ace, Rafael Montero sits as the 85th best prospect.  He had two stints each with Binghamton and Las Vegas in 2013.  In 11 starts in Double-A, Montero held a 7-3 record, 2.43 ERA, with 78 strikeouts against 25 walks.

Potential future B-Met first basemen Dominic Smith was unranked in the Top 100, but ranked 2nd among first basemen.

Wilmer Flores who spent time with the New York Mets in 2013, but spent part of his 2012 campaign in the Southern Tier.  Like Smith, Flores was unranked but was the No. 10 2B.  In 2012, Flores hit .311, 2 HR, 8 RBI, .361 OBP, .494 SLG.
