Monday night, the BU Bearcats suffered a 66-60 loss to a talented UAlbany team. Nick Madray and Marlon Beck each scored 16 points, Yosef Yacob had 12, and Karon Waller had 10. Noticeable absent from the lineup? Sophomore guard and Bearcats leading scorer Jordan Reed.
Reed was limited to nine minuted of playing time and did not score a point for the first time in his collegiate career in BU's previous game against Stony Brook. Head Coach Tommy Dempsey made the decision to hold Reed out of the lineup against Albany as well as a few practices with what he called an internal team issue.
Reed was back at practice Wednesday afternoon and will be on the floor Thursday against Hartford, which is welcome news to his teammates.
