NYSUT Launches New Campaign

A teachers union has launched a  new campaign that would add to the quality of education for SUNY and CUNY schools.

The New York State United Teachers created the "Keep New York a State of Mind" campaign to increase funding, add full-time faculty, and make a bigger input on financial aid and tuition assistance programs.

The ad campaign is being launched through social media and union representatives say that they will be putting an added pressure legislatures for the help needed.

"SUNY and CUNY have had almost Two Billion dollars in lost funds over the last five years and this is really the pathway to educational  for opportunities the students." - Catherine A. Farrell, Regional Staff Director

According to the NYSUT website the statewide union represents more than 600,000 teachers and school related professionals.
