Kindergartners Joining Fight Against Cancer
1/17/2014 (Updated 1/18/2014 11:15:07 AM)Transitional Kindergartners at Seton Catholic have joined the fight against cancer while they learn the alphabet.
This week, students are learning about the letter 'l' so they decided to sell lemonade and the funds they've raised will go to Alex's Lemonade Stand foundation.
So far they have collected $500 for the organization who's mission is to help find a cure for childhood cancer.
"We're going to sell lemonade and give the doctor the money to help little kids in the hospital," 5 year old Cecilia Clair, said.
"The whole school was excited all the kids coming in with their money and the nice thing is they're not expecting change back. They're all just saying take the donation," said Dina Kalina, Transitional Kindergarten teacher.
The school will also be donating funds from a dress down day later this month to the foundation.
