Mayhood's Robbery Suspect Found Dead

The man wanted for questioning in a pair of gun burglaries in Norwich earlier this week has been found dead and police have made a surprise arrest in the case.

Police say 29-year-old Christopher Gonzales was found in a wooded area off Guinn Ridge Road in Norwich.

We are waiting on results of an autopsy being conducted at Lourdes Hospital to report on the cause of death.

In what authorities are calling a surprise in the case, police say a second person was involved in the burglaries.

On Tuesday, they arrested 25-year-old woman Bandy Bousson.

She was arraigned, charged with burglary and taken Chenango County Jail in lieu of 250-thousand dollars bail.

Both Gonzalez and Bousson are from Norwich. A number of weapons, including 22 hand guns, several long guns, and numerous boxes of ammunition were stolen.

The investigation is ongoing.
