SUNY encourages Economic Development of Community

Looking to play a role in the economic development of the Southern Tier? The good news is that you can.

At least that was the message of the guest speaker at a meeting of business and education leaders at BU's downtown center. The SUNY best presentation focused on how all members of the community from cultural, to sports, to business centers can make a difference.

"He's presenting this information and he's asking them is there a role that you can play? Is there a place for you here? Do one of these organizations meet one of your interests? Is there something that you can do to make the economy stronger?," said Executive Director for the Center for Innovative and Continuing Education Tom Kowalik.

Raising awareness of different economic initiatives in the area is key, according to Thursday's speaker. For more you can visit ceo.binghamton.edu/bande.
