Bearcats Junior Guard Rob Mansell is out for the year after learning that he needs to undergo surgery on his right knee. Mansell has missed the last six games. He will likely undergo surgery in the next few weeks back in his home, Philadelphia.
This injury comes a year after Mansell red-shirted after surgery to repair a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus in his left knee.
In eight games, four as a starter this season, Mansell has scored 22 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
The Bearcats play their conference home opener Thursday night against New Hampshire at 7:00.
